Barbera d'Asti Superiore "La Famiglia"

Barbera Superiore 'La Famiglia' is a special wine made from centenary vines, first planted by Fabio Bianco's great grandfather. The label represents four generations of passionate winemakers and,  of course, the importance of family. 

'La Famiglia' has a deep ruby colour, with a bouquet of aromas that range from ripe red and black fruits, such as cherry, blackberry, and plum, to spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and tobacco. There is also hint of earthiness and  leather which adds to the wine's complexity.

Don't be fooled by the small grapes coming from these 100 year old vines, because they are packed with flavour, acidity,  and tannins which allows the possibility to age this wine for years to come. 

This bottle deserves opening up and decanting before serving, to release its abundance of flavour.
